Had a very interesting discussion today with some person referred to me who is trying to undercut my business pricing by more than 50%. Saying some other business gave them a significantly cheaper quote, but conveniently couldn’t name who they were. Are you getting a like-for-like service? Are you getting the same expertise? It’s not just about the $$ - too-good-to-be-true price means cheap, corner-cutting service and cheap outcomes. I was smelling bullshit anyway. Said no thank you to matching the ridiculously low price.

Competing on price is just a race to the bottom. Let this person get the cheapest service he can find then see if he comes back to you later looking for some real support.

You have to consider your time as well and whether it’s worth it for you.

I got a Marc Jacobs pair of glasses, but I LOVE my horn rimmed sunnies. I specifically wanted hornrim because it reminds me of the way Gary Larson draws women

      eg

I think it is fun to find a pair of glasses that represent your personality! You have to wear them all day in front of people, have fun with it!

I haven’t used Zenni or Specsavers (or whatever the best deal is these days) but if you don’t end up liking it you can go cheap enough to get your prescription in a few styles?

I woke up feeling good. Nice dreams again.

just need more rest for my back

I have sorted why I’ve been feeling weird, it is long covid giving me a buzzy feeling, and traffic noise was making me confused, but knowing makes me feel like I can do something, so rest , cut coffee in half, take iron tabs

and am getting on top of organising everything 😊I’ve done all the hand sewing

I had a dream that I was late to my hairdressing appointment, tried to call an Uber but the driver(s) ended up being a total creep who tried to kidnap me, so I rang the hairdresser to let them know I was going to be really late and she went into a whole fascist rant so I cancelled the appointment.

Apparently I’m a bit worried about my appointment this afternoon.

Melbcat went to the vet today. She didn’t have a full enough bladder to give a sample and I wasn’t able to bring her back tomorrow to stay in. So they finally relented and gave her a slow release antibiotic shot. Here’s hoping she starts feeling better quickly.

I fell asleep afterwards -_- I wish I could start feeling better quickly. Maybe I should ask for antibiotics and arthritis shots too while I’m there /j

Look I don’t want to disparage your vet, but: many many years ago I had a cat with a broken jaw. He declined to eat. The vet refused to discharge him until he would and nasal force fed. A full week later they gave up, he ate 2 minutes after getting home.

They’ve not been wanting to give her antibiotics for fear of resistance which I get, but the uti hasn’t resolved itself the way they hoped.

I’m really hoping this shot works

Dog peed on the packet of toilet paper. It’s not catastrophic by any means, but I’m curious as to why he did it. He did see his only dog friend before, so I’m thinking it may have been a territorial pissing.

Perth baristas wouldn’t know what a good coffee was even if it slapped them in the face. I have to ask for 4 shots to make it taste like an actual coffee.

    We’re so spoiled in Melbourne.

Yep, partner and I are very much missing our delicious Melbourne water that we can drink straight from the tap. Almost everyone here has a filter for a reason haha

I think the baristas use too much milk in the coffees they make, to offset the hard water taste.

I’m listening a recap of the book about prince andrew 🤯

the yorks are just the most appalling people in every single way

    grifters and deviants

at least they have been removed from having any kind of power or influence

and I’m not up to the bit about epstein yet 😬

it’s interesting how their depravity has been covered up

fake charities where they took the money

abuse and betrayal of everyone around them, family and employees

such a complete lack of decorum, they would embarrassing in a dive bar

they aged into physically ugly people too, even tho they are rich

Not that it should make you feel better but it’s nothing worse than anything royalty has done throughout history. Pretty standard for that family alone

It’s all about character and morality. When there is no accountability and too many are scared to say and do anything to teh person with power it’s up to the individual how they act. They become who they are.
