First thing I’m going to do when I get a bandsaw is cut out a cursive “Ingest” to put in my kitchen. Then possibly an “Excrete” in the bathroom. “Shit Shower Shave” would be another option.

Part of me wants to amend mine to “Garbage In” and “Garbage Out”, but my wife and I are both good cooks and I don’t want to imply that about our leftovers.

I just like the idea of lampooning the vapidness of the whole trend, and I don’t know whether it would be more effective to stencil LIVE LAUGH LOVE in impact font on diamond plate or to put things like “Obey Consume Submit” in the girly handwriting font.

A cricut machine & some removable vinyl can accomplish this at a fraction of the price.

Ingest, process, excrete is way better than “live/laugh/love”

I’m a woodworker, so I have a reason to own a bandsaw other than this project, I don’t need a cricut. I don’t have a band saw already because there is NO room in my shop for one. It’s actually getting hard to walk around in there.

Yeah, in my shop a band saw would be used for resawing as much as anything. RIght now I resaw with my table saw, which…isn’t great. I don’t do much intricate scrollwork, or if I do, out comes the jigsaw. It’s what I rough cut the bottom arched piece of this with.

I use my bandsaw the most in my shop (maybe second to the sander now that I think of it.) I’ve had a scroll saw I got from my dad’s shop that may have come from my grandpa’s. Weighs a ton. I’ve had it ten years and never used it.

I don’t know if I can say if I use my table saw or my router table more. If I do have to make curved cuts or something I haul out one of my jigsaws.

Much harder to remove fingers with a scroll saw. Also way tighter curves and blind holes can be done. Plus you can get old ones for almost free off marketplace.
