They’ll only ever do that if the political climate shifts in a way that makes being MAGA toxic. If he dies before that, they’ll gather in stadiums to celebrate his passing as a hero, like they did for Charlie Kirk.
If the death of Kirky thought me anything it’s that; even here, halfway across the world, the most seemingly sane of us will come out to mourn Trump and remember ‘the good things that he did’. Death is a convenient way to whitewash the hell out of terrible people and make them into martyrs.

Presumably it’s a “women and children” kind of thing. The victim being a (presumably) respectable member of the local community adds some emotional oomph to something that is already bad, though Lemmy is way to anticlerical for this sort of thing to be effective.
