$200 for a bear is a steal of a price.
You’ll pay the remainder when his mother arrives.
With no context, I assume this cub’s mother is dead.
I mean we could just take one right out of nature and it would be free. Just make sure to get outta there hella fast to outrun its murderously protective mama.
*comes with free demolition service when mama rolls by
I think that’s a black bear, and momma black bears aren’t really known for aggressively protecting their cubs.
They’re far more likely to stick them in a tree and run away, or do bluff attacks if that’s not an option. You pretty much have to corner them to get attacked (unless they’re starving).
Black bears are pretty timid, unless their babies are threatened. They might choose to forego a fight, but that’s a load bearing (heh) “might” to put on a hormonal bear
For black bears, foregoing a fight is their default setting, even when cubs are involved. You almost have to try to get mauled by one.
I’ve ran into plenty while hiking, even with cubs, and the second they realize I exist, they haul ass in the opposite direction.
That being said, if one doesn’t run away when you make a lot of noise and wave your arms around, exercise caution because it might be acclimated to humans or starving.
Aren’t black bears the ones hurting more and more people in Japan?
Different black bear, but probably. Japanese black bears are sturdier and constantly angry. They are Tasmanian devils in the shape of bears
Edit: I link to the black bear you were thinking of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asian_black_bear
¡Hola, compañeros perritos!
No hay que preocuparse - no te voy a comer jajaja
Aww, this is where I‘d go with the bear
