    Wrong holiday, but how the hell is a brand new bag of Reese’s pumpkins already all chalky and stale? It’s not even Halloween, yet! Jesus didn’t die for you to give me not-fresh damn Reese’s! Fuck!

      Easy … because that’s the excess supply from last year being sold as new this year.

      All the seasonal candy is made like half a year in advance. They can’t sell it after the holiday so it’s better for them to make and ship it early. That gives them a buffer time-wise. Imagine some delay and all the candy only hit stores after the holiday? Straight into the trash. Which is why you shouldn’t buy seasonal candy.
