Yes kangaroo paw is perennial, and doesn’t like being transplanted much. Best planted in a big pot so it’s roots can go deep down like it’s supposed to. Drought hardy once established.
Also, nasturtium flowers and buds are edible - quite a nice tangy taste and so pretty in a salad. The very young buds can be pickled and taste like capers. Leaves not edible tho.
these are awesome and pretty flowers and all the insects and birds will love
alyssum will perfume the air with honey and nasturtiums will attract the butterflies

It’s a real shame I can’t start a little native garden in the bare patch with a small birdbath in the middle.
But random destructive people can’t seem to stop themselves trespassing or keep their hands to themselves.
