Yes kangaroo paw is perennial, and doesn’t like being transplanted much. Best planted in a big pot so it’s roots can go deep down like it’s supposed to. Drought hardy once established.
Also, nasturtium flowers and buds are edible - quite a nice tangy taste and so pretty in a salad. The very young buds can be pickled and taste like capers. Leaves not edible tho.

It’s a real shame I can’t start a little native garden in the bare patch with a small birdbath in the middle.
But random destructive people can’t seem to stop themselves trespassing or keep their hands to themselves.
