    Insecurity

    I got floppy saggy titties
    Tiger stripes on my belly
    But I’m a childfree thirty-three
So why don’t I look like those other ladies

I used to be quite the fatty
    I know this intellectually
    But my wrinkly boobies
Don’t look like the other ladies

    He says I’m hot
But I feel like a blob
My tits will be down to my knees
    By the time I’m fifty-three

      spoiler

When I’m fifty-three My tits will be free To chat with my knees If they so please

I’ve tried elastic and boning to hold the girls up But all the scaffolding in the world would not be enough My belly is wavy with numerout pleats, There may be stripes too (I can’t see underneath)

I used to cinch everything in, Thought shapewear was a win. But I couldn’t breathe or bend So gave up on it in the end

I gave up trying to look like all the other ladies did And started to embrace what before I always hid Now that I’m passing fifty my tits will finally be free To have a little chat with my once far distant knees.

          spoiler

( i used to have a really beautiful body, n/k . and i’m kinda sad i’ve aged and sagged etc. i was lucky??, so many people have felt sad their whole life ( which makes me angry, no one should be sad ) and i feel kinda ashamed even if i was never judgey once, i was just oblivious to my own body

          and another thing

when i think of my loved ones i don’t think of bodies, of course i love them but a body is just the vehicle for their beautiful spirit, I treasure all wear and tear gained along the way in life , they are badges of honour on a life well lived )

All of this is so normal though, even at younger ages or consistently lower weights and with or without children. Have you actually seen every other AFAB body in the world?

Also it’s about what’s normalised. Whose bodies are highly visible/who do we see most? Models, actors, athletes. Do they select harshly for insane levels of fitness or impossibly high beauty standards (and possibly surgery or airbrushing)? Yes, yes they do. https://m.youtube.com/shorts/CsqTvLbcDB8

Whether you get highly visible stretch marks and how much boobs sag (because they all eventually will) can even depend on how dense breast tissue is or how resilient your skin is.

There was a song I was going to link called “I love my body” from the Netflix show Bigmouth and didn’t because there is a lot of nudity in the video and the show is crude… but it really shows a lot of realistic variations in women’s bodies and presents it as a positive or neutral thing.
