As per OP, PornHub was blocking all anonymous access from Australian IP addresses in order to protect themselves of liability. They also halted any new memberships from Australia.
I reckon their NZ customer base grew exponentially after they did that.
Now that they have removed those restrictions, the New Zealand customer base will return to normal levels.

VPN providers will be disappointed.

Rebuilding a collapsed society does require a lot of work.

I had a friend in Uni who studied food science. She went on to work in marketing a a sculptor for advertisements. They sculptures were hand crafted to look delicious but would have been completely inedible, if anyone was stupid enough to eat them.
It is an art form and unfortunately a lot of people fail to appreciate art.

🤤

Breakfast of Champions please. I think everyone needs a hearty breakfast this morning.
Well, they do own a BMW…
That is pretty stupid.

Funnily enough, still adequate. Most of the guano is under the panels, they are still surprisingly clean.
I have gotten up there once and flushed them from the top. I was wearing flat-soled boots, the roof was still very slippery.
I am the least scared-of-falling in my household so I am the poor bugger that has to go up there. I rely on my Brother to hold the ladder, but he gets vertigo just from looking up at me so we can’t clean it as often as it should be cleaned.
The water pressure isn’t great so getting it 8m above the height of the tap is a challenge. Even with a pressure washer, the water doesn’t have much force so the flush takes a while and isn’t very effective.
To compound the dangers, the guano is right above the vege garden so when the gutters overflow, our food would get contaminated. We have to time with a fallow season when we aren’t growing any veges.

This all stems from businesses profiteering.
It is exactly like using the argument that customers tipping employees means that employees should be paid less. (And then the tipping becomes institutionalised and the business ends up pocketing the tip too).
Mr Pink in Reservoir Dogs was right. He was right about Mr Orange being the narc and he was right about Tipping.

It washed all the dead pigeons from under our solar panels into our down spouts.
Looks like I’m going to have a fun time tomorrow on top of 6m ladder, praying that I don’t get H1N1.

I think it also acts as a reminder what when you can’t rely on the corporately provided mobile networks, the (privatised) government-built infrastructure is still reliable.

It would be an awkward conversation: “Our healthcare system is so insecure that a stupid computer got in” “Our stupid computer is so advanced it can break into this incredibly insecure government system”.
<sarcasm> They didn’t get anything valuable, only the exact records of how much the government is subsidising commercially available medicines on the Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme. This information is of no commercial benefit to anyone (for example Pharma Bros)</sarcasm>
Seriously, it wouldn’t surprised me if some Pfizer executive asked an LLM to make a commercial decision for him because he was too lazy and the LLM cracked into the PBS for him.

Funny how that works; Government subsidises to have solar and batteries installed, lots of people take advantage of the scheme.
It is a shame that the people taking advantage of the scheme are the same scam artists that took advantage of the LED lightbulb scheme, previous solar scheme and the insulation scheme.
Although the Solar + batteries scheme mean that more profiteers can benefit.

Footscray is a hotbed of large trucks and stolen vehicles.
It would be a shame if a large truck or stolen Commodore or LandCruiser were to plow into on of these monstrosities.

I’ve noticed that a lot of small business are using it as an opportunity to raise prices that have not been able to keep up with
inflationcost of living increases.Larger businesses cannot because they are either contractually restricted by suppliers, restricted by a competitive market or have inflated their prices so much already that the market cannot bear any more increases.
And I don’t care if my breakfast coffee and muffin costs $11 cash, $11.20 EFTPOS or $12.00 on VISA, as long as they are honest.
