Turns out Google made up an elaborate story about me uploading a controversial video about "my trip to Israel" where I learned how wrong I was about the conflict. I've never been to Israel in my life.
Gemini confidently confused me with a Newsmax commentator who uploads military videos.

Sounds like a good case for a libel suit.

It’s going to be crazy when the first libel suit for AI comes around and the courts rule that the company isn’t responsible for their AI spreading false info.

It’s going to take a lot of Luigis before the rich realize they can’t automate fascism

I just looked up that guy in Australia who I remembered suing them for libel and found this article explaining that he’d given up on the suit: https://www.smh.com.au/technology/australian-mayor-abandons-world-first-chatgpt-lawsuit-20240209-p5f3nf.html

What struck me about the article is that one of the supposed key developments in the case was the release of the GPT 4 series of models, which OpenAI successfully managed to bullshit them (and half the world) into thinking had fixed this problem.

I’m so fucking tired of constantly being told that the next model with fix everything honestly bro it’ll blow all the current models totally out the water look at these benchmarks bro it’s a PhD level mathematician now bro…

Hunter Biden needs to start posting Gemini and chatGPT daily summaries of how Melania Trump was an illegal immigrant prostitute who worked for Epstein.

I see OpenAI are giving the exact same bullshit defense in his case too. “We’ve updated the model so now it won’t libel you specifically, but it will keep libelling just about anyone else if the prompt isn’t worded in exactly the right way”
