    Welcome to Numbat Facts.

Numbats are the only member of the family Myrmecobiidae. This saves them a great deal of money not buying presents this time of year.

Very pretty. I could only see a sliver of it from my window. That is the only downside of having a day off work, the building I work in has awesome views of the sunrise over the Dandenongs.

Rothenburg Christmas market! Unfortunately it closed so early that we didn’t get to go to it after dinner, which was sad. Also the famous Plonlein. Rothenburg is so beautiful. If you like beautifully preserved medieval walled cities, this is a gem.

I admit, living in a medieval city is a joy ( I lived in Brussels for ten years,) , feels very much like home. Living in a 400 year old house is a bit difficult, they are cold, draughty and the plumbing and electricity is iffy

I don’t want to take anything away from the numbats appreciation week but can we spend a moment admiring the late David Bowie’s fashion sense. It’s quite a mild look this month.

Walking the doggo and a fly went up my nose…and didn’t come out. I guess that’s it then. It’s been nice knowing you all.

when netflix fucked off password sharing, we cancelled our subscription.

I’m house sitting for a friend for a few days, and have just spent about half an hour mindlessly scrolling netflix and can’t find a single thing I want to watch that I haven’t already seen.

I feel even better about my decision.

Edit: I lied, I half-heartedly watched the Beckham thing

This is a PSA. The BBL (big bash league) starts tonight at 7:30 with Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars. I know what youse are thinking yeah we love cricket but for those who have never watched it’s a 20/20 game that’s quick, fun and you get to watch a lot of slogs into the stands for charity.

Some players are mic-ed up and have a little banter with the commentators for a real feel good game. So guys get on it and support one of our Melbourne teams. Either the Melbourne Stars (green) or the Melbourne Renegades (red).

P.s. Stars home ground is the MCG. The Renegades is at Marvel. Melbourne and Sydney are the only 2 states to have 2 teams in the comp.

I hope they’re as entertaining as the women’s league. I do love the banter they provide in the WBBL. Grace Harris is a cracker.

Also test cricket starts next week on Thursday at 1pm in Perth.

I’m a Renegades guy purely because I live right next to Marvel Stadium. I didn’t go to any matches last year but I’ll try to get downstairs for at least a couple this year!

I’m a Renegades fan too! The man is a Stars fan so there’s always a bit of banter going on. I’m gonna try to get to a few games this year as well.

Geez this flight to Canberra is packed and hot! Pretty chuffed with myself that I got everything done on time - dishes, bins, all the packing, really glad for this baggage scale I got from my brother as the gate staff were steadfastly checking all the carry on bags… For a 42 minute flight. Even though I don’t have the satisfaction of having finished all my work projects I’m glad to be getting away!

I had a client based in Melbourne, but with an office in Canberra. I used to get sent there for day jobs occasionally. I rather liked those missions. I was paid from the minute I left home until I got back, and they paid for everything (meals etc).

It’s a neat thing about working in Melbourne that I do miss. It’s so close to Sydney and Canberra. Fly for two hours from Perth, you might have left the state. Just.

Dinner has been eaten and I’m still hungry. I was very close to eating the portion set aside for lunch tomorrow.

I think this calls for an emergency apple crumble. With custard.

😹 going through my folders and found this old collaborative thingamybob. Peacocks, cowboy aliens, dinosaurs, and a FSM dispensing much plonk.

Welcome to my brain, it is a tad different
