    I’m sorry but inciting violence gets any instance nuked, broligarch or federated.

    Just read this:

    Some of the screenshots say: “Muskrat’s DOGE Henchmen have been identified,” “It’s time to do more than dragging names, let’s drag their necks up by a large coil of rope,” “Time to hunt,” “I’ll say it. This nazi stooge needs to be shot,” and other comments sharing a similar sentiment.

    Now of course we can gloat that Reddit is bending the knee, but if a Lemmy instance was big enough to attract the same attention, exactly the same thing would have happened. No instance owner wants their whole instance get nuked by feds because the users of the instance are inciting violence.

        Tbf a lot of people wanted to nuke the sub, and I would bet a lot of those were fake accounts to force Reddit to ban it. The actual users would’ve been inclined to behave and keep their space.

      I mean, I would agree if reddit wasn’t filled with hateful and violent content but it is. Last week, I reported a popular post joking about raping two women who OD, just to get told to shut up by the mods. So the fact that this loser got the entire community banned just shows the type of justice you can expect from social medias controlled by tech-bros. EDIT: Also, the only good nazi is a very dead nazi.

      The mod of a sub I watch confirmed earlier that Reddit is threatening moderators who don’t comply with removing the names of Elon’s goons from their subs, claiming that spreading those names is doxxing.

      Those names, by the way, are Gavin Kliger, Ethan Shaotran, Akash Bobba, Luke Farritor, and Edward Coristine.

      But nice scapegoat you got there.

      Bullshit.

      I saw the screenshots. The upvotes didn’t even break 2 digits. At most, the comments would get removed and the users banned. Saying it makes sense for the entire sub to be taken down for the dozen or so idiots is, undeniably, bullshit.

      The same types of comments have been made on lemmy. The instances did not get taken down or any legal action. Suggesting otherwise is nonsense.

      I mean. he’s a non elected foreigner who’s overstayed his visa and has no security clearance, and he’s stealing access to the most sensitive systems our country has. It’s absolutely time to hunt. Anyone have links to screenshots showing the identities of Musks henchmen?

      very little is considered inciting violence on reddit, I had a comment get removed for that once it was “I dont like h1b visas, it makes it harder for americans to get jobs when hella ppl are already struggling to find jobs with degrees rnow” they removed that for inciting violence than temp banned me for a week for appealing it

      I’m putting the tinfoil hat on here, but wouldn’t it be rather easy to have some users go and post stuff like that in the subreddit? How many upvotes did those comments get?

      At least on Lemmy, the votes are public, so manipulation can be discovered.

      Also, if those posts were talking about Hamas, Hezbollah or maybe Russia, would that also have shut down the subreddit?

        Sure, but why whitepeopletwitter of all places? If they’re trying to disrupt dissent surely there are more effective places to put their energy

          Not that I think this is what happened, but I think the answer is actually really straightforward - how quickly will reddit bend the knee? Let’s find out.

          Thats all it would take is a random thought to get there.

          Again, not what I think happened. Enough people elsewhere saying the same things that its bound to get commented in a reddit thread as well.

          I do, however, think Musk pushed for the entire sub to get banned, or spez did it proactively as a show of support (with a hope to bury his nose in Musk crack).

          Edit: The new banwave makes me think its #2 - spez beak tinted brown with musk crack.

        You sound like such a tool when calling people that mostly agree with you “bootlicker”. That term now is like a neon sign that says, “nothing I say has any basis in reality, and if you disagree with me I will cry and block you.”

        If you don’t agree with someone, you can still present an argument without calling them names like a child. Your misinformed comrades are still your comrades (even though this guy is 100% correct).

            What I’m saying is, not everyone that says anything slightly critical of what you think is a “class traitor”. You aren’t calling out opposition, you’re ostracizing people who want to see the same thing you do.

            I also expressed my opinion. My opinion is that if you want to see any progress, it’s best to not be a twat to others for no reason. And that “bootlicker” is not a term for genuine people that want to see that progress.

                So you self-admittedly call people “bootlicker” as a reactionary statement, with zero regards to whether or not you could be spitting in the face of someone who is on your side.

                That’s uh… one way to get people on our side.

                You don’t have to be here to be “right”, but you’re not “raising awareness about the parasite class” by calling everyone under the sun a bootlicker because your 2 second assessment tells you that they’re a Reddit apologist. You aren’t helping by insulting anyone who dares speak against the consensus. You’re solidifying the stereotype of the “intolerable left”. You’re pushing away people who might be slightly misguided but otherwise receptive of education. You’re pushing moderates to the right.

                In other words, go off about your opinion, but don’t kid yourself into thinking that this behavior is productive.
