Fuck every citizen who sits by not fighting. Especially those who think voting or protesting is resisting.

Your passion and energy are correct, but your message and delivery is all wrong, and isnt going to attract followers. You catch more flys with honey than with vinegar.

People want to be led. There are millions of people who can volunteer a few hours, if someone laid out a simple plan for them. Be very explicit. Say “we need 20 volunteers to sign up here and do X so that Y which helps Z”.

Dont alienate your would be contributors and voluneers. Be a leader. Lead.

I wholly agree with the sentiment you’re expressing here. I would like to note that, experimentally and literally, you catch more flies with vinegar than with honey. Apparently the acetic acid is very attractive to them.

I suppose the takeaway could be that the thing that a person assumes would draw people in may not be the real thing, and serves as a reminder to examine reality before assuming what will work for your goal. One may hope that the messaging you suggest would attract more people than the parent commenter’s.

Ah yes the classic “you should go die in a war i dont understand why you won’t go start a war” argument.

I doubt you would start a war in the same position. People tend to value their own lives above the injustices of others. This isn’t always the case of course

I am relieved that the overall sentiment seems to be heading back to a more rational position, probably because the reality of needing to resist is really settling in for some of us. You’re not helping the cause going out and openly blasting a pack of ICE goons. Not yet. All that would do RIGHT NOW is give them a broadly supported reason to crack down harder, and they want that but the optics are bad right now. The work to be doing right now is training, organizing, and preparing. Because WHEN(not if, unfortunately imo) it’s time to go weapons live I for one will want some type of support network making sure I continue to receive ammunition, food, supplies, and I would prefer there be some type of medical support in case I get shot. But if you think you’re John fucking Rambo then be my guest, make everything even worse before it needs to be.

What’s your name so we can look out for your news headline when you fight back?

The main issue, so far, is the ‘protests’ are meek and lacklustre. It’s just a bunch of people hanging out, or taking a stroll together, while some of them carry signs.
Which would be fine if it wasn’t every 4 months or so. These protests need to happen more frequently.

Ok, maybe not every week. Which would be brilliant. But once a month at the minimum, not a few times a fucking year!!

If they can’t organise and band together more than a few times a year then there’s absolutely no chance of anything else happening.

It’s ramping up, and the people attending aren’t to blame for it not ramping up faster.

People don’t care, people don’t want to die. They will spam news, make it even more drama, but fight? No, never.
Enter with force in capitol and dethrone Trump? No, it’s not right. But living Trump to do what he does, braking laws day after day, destroying your country, along with rich people and companies, is not fighting, its surrendering.\

But guess what, we, the rest of the world, have to eat in face for the rest of his fucking period.

        Take my upvote.
