What’s your favourite final form of potato for devouring? Roasted? Fried? Mashed? Baked?

Honestly there’s not one that I prefer over the others.

I can tell you I prefer using Spud Lite over all the other potatoes. That’s about it.

It’s a toss up between roasted in duck or bacon fat, and mashed with garlic or spring onions. Really couldn’t pick between these two formats. Chips don’t speak to me in quite the same language.

I love mashed on top of shepards pie,

I make mine with fine chopped parsley, lots of butter, pepper and milk, grated cheese and paprika on top, baked til crispy

Load mashed potato is really good too. Add bacon, spring onion, garlic and cheese. Mix it all up and lay it flat in a shallow dish and add more cheese on top and bake. Yum.

Did this in a bracket night. Hot chips won.

Roasted wins in my books. Scalloped potatoes I don’t like

I almost feel like hot chips is still too versatile. French fries? Fat cut? Beer battered? Skin on? Chicken salt? Condiments?

I think just the usual sort of hot chips that come from some sort of event. Like the really salty thick cut chips

Oh yes that’s an excellent choice! What other kind of recipes were in this book? I loved Winnie the Pooh growing up and dang near cried meeting Tigger at Disneyland.

Toad in the hole; raisin bread for eating with honey, Cottleston pie.

It’s very British, and aimed for under 10s so pretty basic but fun
