Is it this metroid? Only time I could think of music going on with metroid screeches.

    “Ee-er! Or-ee!”

I love that theme! Didn’t remember the metroid noises, though.

I love creative notes from composers for players. This one always comes to mind, from some old DCI music. Iykyk

I know 6/4 is a classy choice but it seems unnatural to have two beats with three 0.25 notes apiece.

It’s the Metroid Prime theme. It’s going to be either a fast 6/4 or a slow 6/8.

listening to the video someone else posted I would absolutely call that 6/8, especially with that strong downbeat on the 1.

What’s the difference between 6/4 and 6/8 to you, apart from the tempo?

6/4 I’d call three groups of two, 6/8 two groups of three, but also context is important- a lot of modern writers tend to write in semis and demis, where even 50 years ago they would write in quavers and crotchets.

Also, some jigs and hornpipes are written in 3/2 so YMMV.

I knew Lemmy has my people.

Why yes, I would like to listen to the Metroid Prime theme for 4 hours again. What a thoughtful suggestion, thank you!
