The Pentagon has summoned military officials from around the world for a gathering in Virginia. Even top generals and their staffs don’t know the reason for the meeting.

The military swears an oath to the constitution, not the president or any man. Which is what my air force friends have been telling me - don’t worry, the forces won’t go fascist. Trump apparently came to the same conclusion and is reducing their forces while he massively ramps up ICE, his new domestic army that DOES swear allegiance to him.

Which seems like it has implications but I’m no analyst.

Technically, all of the admin did the same pledge and we see how that’s going.

Not just ICE. Republicans are talking about putting a Turning Point USA chapter in every school in the country. They’re stacking the next generation with Hitler Youth indocrination to avoid that pesky “loyalty to the constitution”

I mean, there’s funding, sure. But I’d put my money on a marine with nothing but flipflops and his privately owned rifle over a ICE goon any day.

I could be wrong here, but I feel like anyone in ICE who was in the military are the military rejects, or couldn’t get into the military.

If they were good ex military there would better jobs than ICE.

Every org is going to have extremists, but you are talking about a former military member that was discharged with a less than honorable discharge, who then committed and was sentenced for murder.

What do you think the AFB should have done here?
