Well I had a fairly sedentary day today at home with the kids. Cleared some things out of the fridge and freezer. I tried a beginner flow yoga style routine but it didn’t really work for me because I’ve lost a lot of flexibility over the years without realising. Even sitting cross legged on the floor is hard because I’m so stiff in the knees 😫 so I did the 1000 step challenge again because my step count is way down and the routine is fun and not hard in the wrong way lol.

Yeah! It’s good because it keeps the pressure off your knees.

Also consider tai chi or qi gong warmups with a high stance

Ok so I just decided, “bugger it, I’ll do the chair yoga one now while the kids are still in bed,” and I found it really good and not too stressful. Very hard to put ankle on knee and stretch the leg because stiffness, but I’ll get there. Thanks for the recommendation!

There’s this pose that you can do using a yoga belt. It’s like this

      spoiler

But instead you start out sitting up with your legs slightly apart and bent but feet together. It opens the hips up. As you get used to it, you bring your feet closer to your body. The good thing is you can go at your own pace. 2 minutes a day or 10 minutes a day it doesn’t matter. You can also put blocks or cushions on the outside so your knees have something to rest on. It’s a good gentle stretch before workouts.

No worries. We used to do this stretch at the start of every yoga lesson and I could eventually do the above pose. Now days I need to choc my knees with blocks. Lol

Keep up the good work 👍
