7·14 days agoI swear that began when fuel watch was implemented.
None the less I like the fuel watch system. Before that it was a clown show.

3·19 days agoWho is this “we” who is going to take ownership of this?
The neo con govt that jumps when any industry sneezes?
The energy companies themselves going to do it because they are all about doing what’s right for the country / consumer / anything other than profits?

39·19 days agoJane Hume doesn’t support WFH.
Did they misquote her or was she dropped on her head as a child?
But it doesn’t help small businesses. It certainly doesn’t help the truckers and the fishers and the farmers and the manufacturers and the miners that are relying on fuel supply.
Actually encouraging or dare I say mandating WFH for office drones would help those who can’t WFH as it reduces demand for fuel.

11·23 days agoOn the whole carrot and stick approach as far as active transport goes. It amazes me the number of people who drive their kids to primary school when they live less than 3km from it.
I wish their was a feasible way to ban child squisher mobiles from within 500m of primary schools. The biggest safety risk kids face on the footpath is being flattened by some fuck wit who thinks their jacked up, bull barred, emission control deleted, selfishcuntmobile is appropriate in urban areas.

5·27 days agoThey didn’t even explain which method of services connection they went for. Affixed portion of house in middle or the fancy coupling method?
From an energy use perspective I’m certain that 350k would have been far better spent on passivhous certification than this.

161·1 month agoLet me clarify.
Before the algorithm when both fb and forums coexisted was still annoying.
Some events would be on forums.
Some on fb
Some both.
Occasionally I would miss out on early bird tickets or tickets all together.
There was never a point where Facebook made anything better on that front.
Don’t even get me started on the fuckery that fb marketplace is vs what we had.

898·1 month agoCouldn’t disagree more.
Prior to fb, there was dedicated forums for the music scene I was in to in my area. Everything was in them. Finding what was on was easy as all the promotors used them.
Then fb came along, the forums slowly faded and finding events became unreliable in fb’s chaotic algorithm bullshit. Now some things are not on it, some are insta only etc.
Fuck META.
