100% we need legislature to prevent surveillance and data collection of all kinds.
For that we would need politicians that represent the voting populace rather than their corporate donors.

Not fully solved.
The car could potentially store that data and then it get transferred when being serviced.
Also it could connect to open WiFi networks.

Bunnings certainly is a monopoly that destroyed pretty much every local hardware business.
The whole cheaper prices thing is of course bullshit when they carry so many exclusive product lines.
But the flip side. They have been really good at honouring product warranties in my experience.

I have no idea why you have been down voted.
Our mortgages do work in a manner more similar to British ones than American.
I.e. you sign up for either fully variable interest rates, or you can lock rates in for relatively (say 3ish years) short time periods.
Typically lenders provide their best rates when borrowers negotiate well before signing up. Then they hit people with the “laziness tax”. I.e. they raise their rates fees etc higher and higher on the assumption that the borrower will simply bend over and take it or be too lazy to re finance. Many do. But plenty shop around and transfer to another lender to take advantage of better rates.
If your property goes down in value, to the point your loan to value ratio goes below the threshold deemed too risky, then your ability to shop around gets diminished. Perhaps it dips in to the ratio which invokes lenders mortgage insurance, or even makes you so underwater you can’t change lenders at all.
If this happens then the borrower can find them selves stuck paying a lot more in interest.

A part of me thinks it would be funny for it to get built to see how many dirt bikes / utes would deliberately tear it up.

Wait who is funding the reimbursement? The platform? The bank? The tax prayer?
They work quite well on other buried services too.
Especially on Friday afternoons.

Capitalism prefers to outsource the child rearing to developing nations.
It welcomes immigration for young adults who are ready to be wage slave / tax payers.
Easily?
Work 8h Sleep 8h Shower 8h

Had any “Full penetration butt welds” lately?
At least 2 showers most days.
If I had to choose it would be shower before bed though.
Change sheets bi weekly at least.

I couldn’t stop laughing when one of my kids showed me a picture of his 10 year old friend’s effort with the texta. We are talking comical magician curly moustache. Roblox verified that account as 18 though and now that account can’t talk to his school friends.
Sex as you are starting to come down from MDMA is the most amazing.
I’m rampant every time. Can often have trouble finishing but that does not bother me in the slightest.

How is the government complicit?
No system is perfect.
As far as I’m aware there isn’t a massive problem with people having others take demerits for them. It’s more like the occasional thing someone might do to help a friend who is on their limit.
12 demerits and you lose your licence. No one can be consistently taking other’s money on exchange for demerits. You would lose your licence very fast.
Anyway, it’s only for automatic cameras. (Like speeding and red lights etc)
No faking who you are if caught by a traffic cop.

If the penalty is only monetary, then for the wealthy they just become minor inconveniences.
I would prefer not to be the victim of vehicular murder when I am walking across an intersection because some rich arsehole is late for the polo and a several thousand dollar fine is meaningless to them.

Your vehicle = your responsibility.
I don’t see the issue.
People still game the system to some extent, by making an agreement with mates to take demerits for them.

Where I am the owner of the vehicle can either reveal the true identity of the driver or they will cop the demerit points them selves.
The demerits will always be issued. *there is a loop hole for company vehicles where by the company can pay double the fine, but may also be subject to 5k fine if they don’t take reasonable steps to ID the driver.
I wonder what percentage of the population is listening to “top 100” now vs 30 years ago.
In the age of streaming and algorithms the shared culture is not the same. Tastes are much more fragmented.
