I call them JUHBs. Jacked up hatchbacks.
All the interior space of a hatch back, but with worse handling and efficiency due to being pointlessly higher off the ground.
The capitalists have a work around if the populace does not produce enough consumers. They simply lobby governments to import them from other countries.
It works even better when truncated.
The productivity commission has broadly agreed to increase the tax
I have the Google camera app installed but not the photos app. The only thing is the button inside the camera app that shows a thumbnail of the last picture you took doesn’t work as it’s just a shortcut to the photos app.
Everything else about the Google camera app seems to work on Graphene. I didn’t give it network permissions either.
I think there might be more flexibility there, but certainly all the ones I have seen are in a bun yes.
Did you know that over here in Perth the bunnings sausage sizzle comes in hot dog buns?
I’m sure someone will be along to argue that correlation is not causation on this, but I’ll be surprised if it’s not mostly due to the average vehicle’s front height now being above the average persons chest.
The other day on my bike ride in to the Perth CBD I encountered 3 separate pairs of motorcycle police with radar guns on the PSP (PSP= principal shared path, a completely separated bike / pedestrian path with no car traffic for those abroad). Presumably they were on the lookout for people on e-scooters exceeding 25km/h, which if caught get fine and their scooter confiscated permanently with no recourse.
Meanwhile in the middle of the CBD where there are lots of pedestrians we have vehicles running red lights, failing to give way to pedestrians when turning at intersections, ballbags in a jacked up 4WDs complete with 5 post bullbars and all of the emissions controls removed running around with complete impunity.
Yep see plenty of people doing that.
I also find it too sweaty but sometimes you trade that off vs listening to what ever music the gym is playing.
Oh fuck off Kate.
Any time the “blue ribbon” teals talk about what is good for the economy we must remember that to them “the economy” = rich arseholes yachts. Their constituents are wealthy and economically conservative, and in no way want things to become fair.
So raising the GST will be worse for everyone who works for a living and have negligible effect on those who have accumulated wealth.
That’s what I’ve noticed.
I initially used power delete suite which got maybe half of mine.
Then I went and started manually editing them with random words.
Then started deleting.
I’m very sure that some sub’s have restored deleted comments. Amusingly sometimes with the random words instead of the original.
The only reason I never deleted my account is so that I can go back and mess up or delete stuff as it comes back. Fairly easy to find your comments with a search of your username.
Surprised they haven’t just locked the ability to edit or delete older stuff. It’s not like it ever really gets deleted, just removed from public view.
When it comes to digital rights we have slowly been heading towards fascist dystopia.
I first stated paying attention when Rudd / Conroy tried to filter the internet. Although IIRC mobile phone Know Your Customer came in post sept 2001.
Since then it’s just been a frog in a pot. Meta data retention, assistance and access, identify and disrupt now the hand your ID to every fucking site/app bullshit posing as a kids social media ban.
It’s always been about the ability to silence dissent.
Fuck our politicians. Enjoying saying that while I can. Probably won’t be long before saying that will get your internet cut off.
Headline question, answer no…
But seriously look at the election results. Fair to say the vast majority are either in favour of mass immigration, or their views on it are not strong enough to make them vote against it.
Mass immigration has had bipartisan support since Howard used it to ass fuck the unions and housing for anyone under 40.
I think a lot of it comes down to housing. 2/3 own real estate and know that the flood of people equals demand equals increasing prices.
They should be completely banned nationwide unless you live on at least a 4 hectare property.
What if they fucked right off and left parenting what kids do on their devices to their parents?
Maybe I’m just getting old, but the idea of “verifying” my real identity to a faceless website or mobile app is abhorrent.
I guess it doesn’t help that governments in some countries (UK, Australia that I know of) are encouraging this bullshit with Trojan horse laws claiming to protect children from adult websites / social media.
Can’t help but think there is also an element of pot meet kettle here, when users of an app designed to dox and slander people without their knowledge are now the ones getting doxxed themselves.
Why the fuck is the media still calling this a kids social media ban instead of what it really is? A fucking Trojan horse for govt and big tech to further erode digital rights and harvest more personal data.
I read a lot of fiction books in my own time when I was in primary school for the enjoyment of it.
When I got to highschool I hated English so much. Analyse what the author’s theme was in this bla bla fuck off! Sucked the joy out of reading. Didn’t give me any useful skills for the career path I was heading in to either.
There needs to be an academic English subject for people who just need it to get in to STEM courses.
Took some years after high school to get back in to it, but I do occasionally read fiction when I have time these days.
I’ve read they are drinking less and taking less recreational drugs and having less sex than previous generations.
Thanks everyone for voting for the e-karen.
