    It’s so crazy that this asshole is up for his second criminal rape proceeding, having spent virtually no time in prison for his crimes.

    Meanwhile, we’ve got people getting snatched off the street and stuffed into an El Salvadorian prison sweetshop because of a minor traffic violation.

    Honest question since it is a new trial, can they introduce new witnesses and new allegations? And if they can wouldn’t this also mean that he face even more penalties?

    I only ask the honest question because I literally have no idea how a “new trial” gets handled.

      Depends on how or why the original verdict was thrown out iirc, but usually yes. A new allegation is a new crime that you wouldn’t have been charged with before.
