Please note this is not FSD it’s a drive Assist.
The driver was warned about hands off about 7½ minutes before the accident.
I am curious though why there weren’t any more warnings until 2 seconds before the accident? And why the car continues with the driver not controlling the car???

Seems to me the driver was irresponsible, but also the driver assist shouldn’t have continued to drive the car for 7½ minutes without the driver holding the steering wheel.

Yeah that is pretty surprising. I know other systems are pretty quick to pull over and disengage if you don’t respond to the nags. 7 minutes seems like a pretty long time.

Is it possible to “trick” it? like a tiny touch now and then to keep it from nagging while also not paying attention?

not defending anything. just wondering if thats perhaps possible, and a risk
