What was his twin sister’s opinion of this activity?
Fortunately, Boeing seems to have the “the side fell off” sector of the airplane market pretty well covered.
Would such a trend indicate we have passed “peak oil”?
Looks like the sub.rehab project is no longer active.

Japan needs to import most of its energy
Does Japan not get sunlight or wind, or are there other factors at play?
Great chart! Who are “EU27”? Total average?
Are Toyota still pursuing hydrogen, or are they mostly all in on batteries now?
Still a ways to go, but it’s great to see some progress!
Correct. If no one from your instance has subscribed to a given community yet, it might not show up in your search results. Lemmyverse.net is a good way to find small communities on other instances.
A RES-like userscript to easily navigate Lemmy with your keyboard.
Violentmonkey + Lemmy Universal Link Switcher
Best way to avoid accidentally leaving your home instance.

Rocketing from a standstill to 60 mph in 3.0 seconds or less creates forces approaching those created by the Earth’s gravity, tricking your inner ear into thinking that forward is down.
Shouldn’t that be “backwards is down”?
Many amusement park rides use the trick of tilting the seats backwards to simulate forward acceleration, and the reverse should work as well. High forward acceleration could trick your senses into thinking that the gravity vector has shifted from “straight down” to “slightly behind you”.
Is that unique to EVs, or is that just how modern cars are?
Not ONE of them could support a fully EV reality given the demands of charging at peak capacity.
Eh, I think the issues of grid infrastructure are somewhat overblown. The vast majority of EV owners charge their vehicles at night when the rates are low, which is not during peak demand.
This is perfect. I’m stealing this response.
