As @tinybreak infers, they may be trying to get people to leave so that they don’t have to payout redundancies.
If you take your LSL and AL, you can bypass all the issues. When you come back you will either be invaluable to them and be able to get a payrise, or they would have decided to issue redundancies after all and you can cash-in again.
It is a gamble though.
have you taken LSL yet? I’d take it, disappear for a few months then take the redundancy they offer when you get back.
The LSL is banked with the intention of just taking the cash when I leave, on top of the 7 weeks annual leave I’ve also got sitting there.
They’re adamant there will be no redundancies, without coming out and saying it they’re definitely trying for reduction through attrition.
See what happens I guess.
