What a soulless, almost theme park like place.

I can’t imagine living there, walking out of my unit, into the street… to what?

Plastic fantastic. The complete opposite of what makes Melbourne great.

I live there and it’s fine? Green spaces. Community library/basketball/soccer/netball/whatever courts. Movies. Supermarkets. Shops. Quiet. Free PT to CBD. Not sure what you want to walk out onto the street to but this sounds like a reverberation of generic potentially outdated opinions about the place. I’d say the only thing it lacks these days are night spots. There’s 1 or 2 around but it’s not like it used to be with the clubs and pub on central pier.

I would ABSOLUTELY live there if the price matched the state of it. It does not. I aint paying a premium to live in a wind tunnel. If I wanted to do that I’d live in pakey or drouin.

Hey, that’s not fair. They have an abandoned oversized ferris wheel, and a shopping centre you could hijack the speakers in and play Hey There Delilah on at 2:38pm and get the same vibes as that YouTube video from a few years ago. Wouldn’t even need to wait until 2:30am! And the best part? Literally nobody would even notice
