Using Mbin through a browser, I see it as (R) in my post (capital R inside parentheses). Are you saying my earlier comment with no escape character renders as the trademark symbol for you?

Correct, for me it’s showing in both your text and the quoted text as the registered trademark symbol rather than being the (R) designation.
