he sounded awful, practically as bad as the debate. absolute shambles of a man, i’d feel sad if i could. he’s a stubborn, angry old man who can’t face reality.

He had a couple of vacant eyed, slack jawed moments like he wasn’t 100% sure what was going on, but it wasn’t as bad as the debate.

The spin machine is in high gear.

“It was just a bad cold…a bad night”.

“Watch me sail through these teleprompted and edited video clips”.

“Let’s talk about cognitive tests. I’ll pretend to avoid them for a few weeks, then I’ll give in, take them, and pass with flying colors. After that you’ll have forgotten the debate for sure.”

I really thought he would have the candor to step down this week. I guess we go into next week, but its still clear to me that this guy isn’t going to be the next president.

That he’s not even trying to throw anyone under the bus in the campaign to shake things up is almost just as concerning as him refusing to accept the obvious. The only message we have is “everything’s fine, stay the course” and that Biden will adopt an old man schedule, neither of which is reassuring.

Why is he explaining anything. I think his team want him to lose our they are terrible at their job. Find someone in the administration, or more than one, who can talk and engage with current concerns and at least act like they’ve been listening to people outside the White House, and get them on tv and maybe we can get excited to vote for the administration if not the candidate. Pull in all of the big tent voices and dnc stand behind them as the many possible futures of the party you are voting for and could continue to haggle over in contrast to the one orange king party. Biden can stand on stage waving goodbye for 4 years, idc. The difference is, when Trump gets that bad, these other voices won’t be there anymore and he won’t be saying goodbye.

I’ll speak slowly. You’re going to get Trump, because this ego maniac won’t step down.

This isn’t a messaging problem. It won’t go away by making people not talk about it. All you do is increase Trumps likelihood of winning.

Stop trying to help Trump win by ignoring senility in his opponent.
