The country’s second-largest city has been targeted almost incessantly since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

But this time was worse than usual, because, when rescue workers arrived at the scene, there was a second strike. Three of them were killed.

The following Friday, it happened again when Russian missiles hit Zaporizhzhia, a major city in Ukraine’s southeast.

Rescuers and journalists rushed to the scene, and then two more missiles hit.

In total, four people were killed and more than 20 were wounded, including two local journalists.

Both the Kharkiv and the Zaporizhzhia attacks employed a technique called “double-tap” - when an initial air strike is followed by a second attack, killing rescuers trying to help the injured.

Yeah that’s the most straightforward display of mens rea for war crimes I’ve seen. Specifically “the second one is reserved for all the civilians”, cause there is no other justification.

This would be a lot more meaningful if America didn’t implicitly condone the actions when done by Israel or anybody on our side. As is, it simply looks hypocritical for Americans to criticize a war crime, while we take no issue with it elsewhere.

Where was the MSM calling this amove used by terrorists when Israel Triple Tapped an aid truck? It makes us look stupid at best and like outright liars at worst.

It’s not whataboutism if it is literally just as bad and also true. That would be more commonly known as “accurately comparing them”.

No, that is 100% whataboutism. It’s an attempt to deflect the discussion from the topic at hand. If you want to have a discussion about THING_THAT_YOU_CONSIDER_BAD_AND_ALSO_TRUE, you can make a new post just for that.

Because America is funding the other side of the war. It really puts a damper on criticism of a country at war when the people they’re fighting are primarily funded by people doing the exact same thing.
