No, this applies to the old mp4 codecs like xvid/divx. Mpeg4 AVC is still patented in some jurisdictions.
haven’t used xvid in like 20 years. do still have some old ‘archives’ though.
Yeah… that’s why it’s allowed to expire now. We don’t allow people to use useful or relevant things! 😛
