All good for now. The problem was the battery, so the car was started and I’m now in Melbourne. It will be a coin toss as to whether it’s going to start again, so I’m going to get a new battery today.
I was a bit concerned with all the warning lights. I think the voltage drop from the failing battery triggered sensors to detect non-existant faults, which also stopped the car from even trying to start. So it didn’t try to turn over and fail like I’m used to with battery issues.
20% of Century brand at supercheap, 20% house brand at repco and special members price at autobarn if you’re looking to save a few coins. I think supercheap, maybe all of them, will fit it for you and take the old one for disposal.
Thanks, but I’m just going to get RACV to come out today. I’m working 12 hour days/nights for the next 4 days, so don’t have much time. Plus if I put it off it will probably refuse to start after night shift when I just really want to get home to bed.
Hope you got it sorted!
