The USA are the anti-intellectualism gift that never stops giving. Earth is flat, global warming is fake, vaccination is bad, evolution is fake and unironically using the imperial system.

Wherever you live has people that believe every one of those things and more, with the possible exception of imperial measurements. The idiots in America just seem better at getting other people to listen to them.

A friend from michoacan who I visited a decade ago doesn’t believe that we went to the moon or that we can. Wrong on both counts. However he think we will figure it out. But I think he says that just in case we do so he can comeback with he knew it all along.

I’ve tried kind of a slippery slope argument with them, to see where exactly the fakeness begins. Like do they believe in satellites? How do they think gps works? Do they think the ISS is fake? You can see it! Do they think the rovers went to the moon? Or was that fake too?

But I don’t know why I waste my time :(

lol I’m guessing it autocorrected fakeness. Did the exact same thing for me.

For this particular person, I’m guessing she had read this somewhere online as I know she is not clever enough to have come up with this herself. I think she believed in the ISS, but that’s because it was within the earths magnetic field. So I guess the argument had something to do with humans surviving certain types of solar radiation.

I guess this would also mean we could not orbit the moon. But I wasn’t willing to go further down that slope.

Americans are like children from parents that only do positive education. “You are awesome baby” “you are the best most beautiful boy in the world” “All your ideas are amazing share with the world” “oh baby you were not wrong they just don’t understand you” lol

As someone who did not have that experience with their parents…

It was still exactly how public school treated the US itself. Even when it was on topics like shoving native americans off into tiny reservations, it was all, “yeah that was bad, but the US is great!” and similar non sequiturs.

        Absolute trash brainwashing shithole country…

Her non-vacinated child doesn’t look very happy. Not sure whether it doesn’t like parties or it’s still upset about dying for no good reason.

Between this and the cartoon about the kids going as the economy, the environment and the deeply divided nation, I’m openly hoping for a season of politically seasonal costumes.

Drinking unpasteurized milk is a great way to get TB among other things. Children who drink unpasteurized milk get the Bovine TB which infects the bones (spine, long bones, and joints), Another type of TB that primarily affects the spine is known as Potts disease. It is incredibly painful and contagious. It can be cured if treated early but often it is dormant and/or without symptoms in the early stages. Immunocompromised people are at higher risk of developing active bone TB. Thus, areas with high prevalence of HIV/AIDS have higher rates of active infection. However, any stress can activate TB (such as starvation). Feeding a child raw milk is child abuse.

I do honestly feel bad for the kids. Which is worse. Dying of measles, polio, tetanus, ? Or the TB?

        These kids are screwed.

Too bad there aren’t child-proportion accurate plastic skeletons. You’d need to take a larger head from a bigger one, and attach it to a smaller one to get sort-of close.

Because god forbid, you leave the social media grandstanding at home and just have a fun night out with your mates…

I agree wit her, not vaccinating is dumb as fuck. But we all need a night off from hearing about how shit the world is… Dont we? Our mental health cant be fucking great, with the constant reminder that everything sucks. Just have a night out, get sloppy, make some harmless mistakes that people talk about at work for the next couple of days, and relax.

God has had a poor track record of forbidding as of late, still sticking to her typical tendencies of letting whatever may be to exist, at least until such a time as it may no longer withstand the contradictions posed by its mere existence.

next you’re gonna say that murder is terrible and people shouldn’t dress up as a kirk gusher at a halloween kegger

see there’s this thing called humour, specifically dark humour, and it’s perfectly valid especially when used satirically

Yea, child abuse is horrible. Intentionally setting your child up for lifelong risk of avoidable sickess or early death is clearly child abuse.

When I think of what kinds of posts are the Russian troll farms spreading to encourage division and hostility between Americans, this is the kind of post I think of.
