    Blurggg.

Had a chat w/ bro last night. Dude is flat out gunning for ol’ girls’ coin.

Bit of history, back in the day daughters were often left out of wills and the boys got everything. O’l girl was left out and her brothers got everything. Her mum though (my grandmother) left her (and ony her) everything of hers including the proceeds from the sale of her house because the same shit probably happened to her (back in the day before property shit so hardly enough these days for a deposit lol). But it’s hers.

Anyway ol’ boy transferred that coin (with her permission) into something joint that actually gets interest which is fine. Now bro is demanding a slice of it. Now the ol’ boy would have to agree (which he won’t).

    I can’t believe this cunt.

Been thinking about this all morning. At a loss on what to do. Something tells me to stay out. But at the same time ol’ girl might feel like she has no agency… it’s her coin after all.

Just feels like sharks circling the pool.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I went through something very similar.

Best you can do is speak to the old man and give him a heads up so he’s not caught off guard maybe.

Shark rich environment happening here, with a lot of quicksand too. However, if ol’ girl still has sufficient marbles, there’s still time to get everything sorted out properly so no last minute changes can fuck over what she wants. There are lawyers who can set everything up so her wishes are respected. Wills, powers of attorney (medical and otherwise). May need consent from ol’ boy, but I don’t that’s going to be the major issue here. Unless ol’ boy drops dead or gets run over by a bus. Yes there’s a cost but it’s a one time only with a bit of luck. DM me if you want a contact.

This might be opinionated but… I don’t know if he deserves it. At all.

I don’t hear about him coming over cooking, making meal plans, liasing with doctors and dietitians, nudging her to eat… or even really being there.

being honest doesn’t mean you have to be a push over and let dishonesty win

You know what bro is like and what he is doing or attempting to do

so preempt him , build up your own team too

Yeah… at least you know you’re not behaving like him.

Him thinking of her money at this point in time is really cold. He should be thinking about her.

That’s horrible and insanely entitled. Your poor mum, having to put up with dealing with that with everything else she’s going through. Maybe she could use ‘might need it for aged care’ as a line to put him off (even if she doesn’t need it for that). And aged care deposits do cost a bomb.
