Oh man, we got a fair few middle fingers. 70/100 cars honked in support, then about 3/100 flipped us off or gave a thumb down.
Hilariously, a few honked while flipping us off, and 90% of the protesters couldn’t see them inside their cars with their windows up (cowards)… So it just seemed like they were supporting us, and everyone cheered.
I’m in a small town, and we had all of three hecklers show up. They just stood there pathetically, called us communists, and looked more and more nervous as more and more protesters showed up. They fucked off pretty quick.
A bunch of people flipped us off, and one person tried to roll coal on us, but it was pretty pathetic. His truck wasn’t set up to roll coal, so it wound up looking like he was trying to intimidate us with his car problems. Quite a lot of laughter was had, and I imagine he wasn’t happy with that outcome at all.
Overall, most of the passerby were supportive, and we didn’t have any problems.
Oh interesting! We had a few that would honk but have grumpy/neutral faces instead of the usual smiles. I was wondering if they were just stoic or i misidentified which car was honking… Anger honking that everyone thinks is support is hilarious.
To be honest though, I smiled and waved even friendlier at the detractors. We’re doing this for you too
