Tapwater isn’t free. It’s cheap though. But it is just hard to believe that even in first world countries there are places where tapwater isn’t high quality drinkable water. I went to Cambodia, where tapwater isn’t really safe to drink. Sure, I can understand that. But a friend of mine lives in a large city in the US and the tap water contains high levels of arsenic and lead. Like, wtf dude!

Is that why people vote to have their tax money sent to the rich instead of having these things fixed? Why, just why. Idiocracy was meant as a comedy, not a manual. The food in the US really makes everyone extremily dumb. “Safe drinking water, or a mentally challenged billionaire playing with rockets. Hard choice. Let’s go with billionaire for now because his rockets are shiny.” “We need health care, better schools, there’s extreme poverty, inflation is making it hard on us, what should we do? Let’s vote on the guy who promices to destabilize society, deport our workers, destroy our friendships, block the economy, tax the poor, support the rich. Yeah, that’s the smart choice! 'Murica yeehaw!”

I could never move to a region where tap water is not drinkable. F to all my hydrohomies that can’t enjoy tap water.

I have a well and a reverse osmosis system, and the water is amazing. I’ve never had water that tastes so good.
