I can’t speak to the motives of the OP, but I have no issues with the content. I also only really hang out in “Local” these days. Given that this article is about the US president, I can believe it is widely posted across Lemmy. But this is the only one I’ve come across (so far 😃).

I ban spam bots almost daily, but I could probably count on my fingers the times I’ve banned human accounts. Unless people start flinging personal abuse or break site rules, we’re usually happy to let the vote buttons do their thing.
had a look in the mod logs but looks like he’s deleting his account? or if you get banned and then delete your account does that remove it from the mod logs?
I can see one of his other accounts but ChocolatChaud doesn’t seem to show up anywhere
Oic, Yeah we don’t need the same article on 15 different groups on 10 different servers, I wish Lemmy Devs or app Devs would find a way to enable post aggregation
there’s someone who keeps making bots that just flood everywhere with articles

afaict they’re getting banned by their own instance admins. Mostly LW admins, but a few other instances too.

I think ChocolatChaud may have been deleted before it got caught. fraiserouge got banned first.
