No matter how bad things can get, it will get better.

Hmmm. Took the dog to visit a friend. He peed on the inside coffee table then bit both of us when we went to shoo him off. Worst behaviour ever since I’ve owned him. I’m ordering a muzzle. It was his 13 birthday yesterday so maybe these are his teen years.

edit: Small-world-ey tho, my friend who got bit is Steve00’s partner.

YL’s out doing the grocery shop while mum and dad are enjoying a few drinks. This the best.

Ps. I wonder what I’ll be paying for from Aldi’s middle aisles. 🤔

    Tonight’s festivities are:

Recording so so metal riffs to jam drums over

    Borderlands 4

    Brushing furball

And desperately hoping I’m ok for going out tomorrow night

My DiDi driver is playing a very strange chant-type song in a different language, something I might hear in a yoga class, and I think it’s just the same song on repeat. This is not the Friday night party starter I wanted, instead I’m getting put to sleep.

My cat recently passed away and I have a number of left over medications that I will throw out.

But before I do, I thought I’d see if they can be of use to any of the cat lovers we have on here.

    4 x 100mg Gabapentin tabs.

11 x 0.1ml Vetergesic in syringes for oral application.

50 x 5mg WP Carbimazole: medicine for treating hyperthyroidism.

    1 x Profender Allwormer for 2.5 - 5kg cats.

6 x 4mg Zofran Ondansetron wafers to treat severe nausea and vomiting.

1mg syringe of Mirtazapine - for appetite stimulation.

    1 bottle of Otoflush.

    Pick up in Melbourne CBD.

@mods, take down if this isn’t allowed, totally understand.

Also, fuck you to the mainstream news for having mum texting me panicked about my personal safety in the city tomorrow.

it’s not as bad as it looks, there are actually few weeds, they are just big, and the soil is sandy so it’s easy to pull them

I’m going to make two big garden beds surrounded by paths , I’ll make the paths by laying down cardboard then putting wood pavers on top of that . Then build up the beds a little. The pots will remain around the edges.

I can’t do lawn as I can’t get a lawn mower in there, so garden it is, and it will nice to have vegies too.

I have an upstairs balcony for relaxing in .

That sounds like a fun project (s) :)

But please put some non-slip shit on those wooden outside stairs where ted is sitting.

That should come up nicely. I’d probably use wood chip mulch instead of actual pavers for the paths, then you can just keep adding more over time as they break down to refresh it. I’d also be a bit worried about pavers getting slippery.

I think it is much better not to have a lawn for most purposes, it is a lot of upkeep for an area most people don’t actually use. Garden beds with ground covers or native grasses generally look great, are less maintenance and if done right provide great habitat for birds and small animals.

I’ve decided to pull the trigger and get a wireless numpad. I got this 75% keyboard and whilst it has been great, I like having the numbers in a tidy square too much.

I think a detached numpad is the way to go because they stick out the side of your keyboard and you don’t need them until you really need them. Wireless lets you put it away when not in use and you can put it on either side of the keyboard as well. As a lefty I’ve wished for a left side numpad for a long time.

I think I’ll get the 8bitdo one as it has a screen and can work as an independent calculator as well. Great for not needing to add a calculator window to your screens on top of everything else.

Got back from the dentist, my teeth hurt because I’m clenching them. I’m sure the dental bills will be very relaxing 🙃
