There are more useful web apps than before but blog/affiliate sites are a plague.
That said if I could make a ton of money by clogging up the internet with garbage content then I would. There is nothing holy about this place.

I feel the same way about durability but apparently usb-c is rated to 10,000 insertions. Idk though. The lightning port has been very solid in regular use but I can’t say the same about the usb-c ports I’ve known.
Eventually wireless charging will be the standard so it might not matter as much for phones.
I used a tutorial book to help me create a python text game, then I rewrote it and have been casually adding things. I sort of want to re-write it again in Java to see how it compares, I’m more comfortable with java so I’m hoping I could focus more on system design. I’m noticing that the more I add to the base game the more spread out my solutions become, so addressing that is the main interest I have with it.
A new project I’m working on is a simple web scraper. I liked building a lexer/parser in the text game and I think having my own web scraper would be useful.
I’m still learning so I aim for projects I can ‘finish’ in 2-4 weeks.
Oh and a windows notepad that looks like the windows notepad except more customizable. I like the idea of building utilities.
We do that in Vancouver and it’s good. The fines are steep.
But it’s opened a mini industry of people being paid to visit homes so they aren’t ‘empty’.
Damn 19C! My apartment is 24 right now and it feels cozy. When I bake it gets to 27. Without heat in the winter it hovers around 16 inside.
I’d consider going somewhere with more extreme day/night cycles like the Northwest territories, but within Canada I’m basically happy where I am. I like the super long days in the summer and I’m also ok living in the dark most of the winter as long as I can stay active.
Work shouldn’t be the primary source of stress in our lives no matter what the job is.
No. The universe just is a thing that exists.
I’d say that’s part of the reason I still go back to reddit. It’s so easy to pull up any community and be signed in. With lemmy it’s a hassle.
The instance I’m on (eg smaller ones) doesn’t defederate. I see everything. lemmy.ml, beehaw, lemmynsfw. .world isn’t a great instance to home account on. They’ve already blocked like 30 instances https://lemmy.world/instances

I enjoy eating pizza, but I prefer tacos.
Lol I do like lemmy because I fucking recognize you Aux. You’re on my shit list and I guess I know why. See you next time.
Better
My primary is gmail and my secondary is proton mail but I haven’t ever warmed up to proton mail. It’s been a few years.
I ask it to save my login and yet I always need log in again. Maybe their sessions expire by default, whereas gmail will keep me signed in until I clear my browser. Neither gmail or protonmail load very quickly, but proton mail is noticeably worse.
You generally don’t need to download the software to use the stuff and Logitech has been OK about that. The dongles are paired out of the box and bluetooth just works, but if there are problems (or button mapping) then the software is needed. Eg. some of them will pop up an installer when you plug in the device (I know my Razer keyboard has some shite software that boots at login.
Ya most of them are good w/o pairing, but if for whatever reason you need to pair then the software has changed.
I use a G603 (wired) and MX Master.
It is in chrome, but implemented differently. Firefox actually does it better since you can save them as bookmarks
