Really appreciate people calling these out. Community values are an important differentiator for the fediverse. I hope we will stand together for authenticity.

Hijacking but I need to get this out of my system:
I was in a bar earlier and went into an all gender single stall restroom. It had a urinal with an absurd amount of pubic hair on the rim. I couldn’t shake the idea of women seeing it as one of the few urinals they’ve run across. No ladies, that is not normal.

2·4 个月前Digital solidarity will be essential as we move forward. We will need both social solutions which facilitate community technical support and engineered solutions which make that support more effective. I like to imagine systems of distributed sever management where we build upon the computational capacity of those around us and the human capacity of those that care for them. I want to rely on people I love instead of opaque tech firms that only care about money. Compute power must not defeat humanity.
Woah woah. Stop right there miss Shortcake. I won’t stand for this asparagus slander!

Android@lemmy.world•Need recommendations for which Pixel to get (will run Graphene)English
4·7 个月前I recently upgraded to the 9 pro (non xl) with 1tb. Honestly I think it comes down to budget and desired years of remaining support. I found the 9 pro appealing since it’s the first non-xl pro, and because the spec jump is larger than usual.
Some of the reasons I picked 9 pro over 8 pro:
- 16 GB of ram instead of 12. (Increased for AI background stuff but on graphene we can use it all)
- 25% boost in screen brightness
- one gen newer processor of course
- again, it’s not massive but still has all the cameras
I will say I hate the rounded corners. And as others have pointed out the a series are still great, and used ones can be a bargain with the 7 years of support.
“I’ll have to skin you alive to test that assertion.”

But is it bidirectional? I hate when I pick up an adapter only to find it doesn’t support chicken soup to HDMI. Like my PC has chicken soup out, not HDMI, that’s why I need an adapter FFS.

My quick search turned up reports of forced labour, but not child labour in particular.
