  • There is no data suggesting that the Titanic (known for its first class service) did not issue formal hats to it’s live lobsters. It is however known that the Titanic did not source it’s lobster from Mexico (the bandito style hats seen in the gif) and probably had a mix of European and American lobster aboard.

As it was a first class service it can be expected that the lobsters were given top hats to along with their tails.

  • Unfortunately…

While some lobsters can live down to 700 meters (2300 feet). The Titanic lies 3800 meters (12500 feet) underwater.

There would also be a problem with the cold of the region of water. The temps at the depth of the Titanic are too cold for them to survive.

Lobsters on the Titanic probably had their claws bound. As you can usually see this in markets stores where modern live lobsters have their claws wrapped with rubber bands. So even if they were to survive the crushing depths, and bitter cold, they would have starved or become food for other predators. This sadly would have precluded them from shooting off revolvers while they danced.

It is called King Nyani. It was delivered to Brookfield Zoo in 2021 after spending a year on display at Hudson Yards in New York (USA). There are two others, one at the Brice Museum in Connecticut (USA) and one at Taronga Zoo in Sydney (Australia).

  • Ameglian_Major_Cow

the Cow was the Dish of the Day at Milliways, which arrived when Zaphod Beeblebrox (accompanied by Arthur, Ford, and Trillian) requested to ‘meet the meat’. It was described as a large dairy animal, a “large fat meaty quadruped of the bovine type.” It was said to have large watery eyes, as well as small horns and what might have been an ingratiating smile on its lips. The creature seems peaceful and at ease, and at one point is described to have “mooed.”

The creature offers Zaphod and his party his shoulder, braised in a white wine sauce, then goes on to offer other parts of its body, having worked hard to fatten itself up through force-feeding itself for months. Eventually, after Arthur and Trillian have expressed their shock and Ford has expressed his disinterest, Zaphod requests four rare steaks and the Dish of the Day goes off to shoot himself, telling Arthur not to worry, as he says “I’ll be very humane.”[1]

  • You arrive to desolate and wonderfully silent Antarctica.

For a time you are alone and happy in your isolation. Soon enough, thoughts start to slowly infiltrate your sleep and later your waking world. You can’t understand them. They are weird and very distressing. Over time you are having difficulty thinking clearly. You want to run but you cannot. You want to scream but you cannot for the thoughts are so upsetting. Your days and nights are spent in abject terror as you feel your mind slipping. Your essential nature being pulled away from you. Even more frightening is that you are starting to understand and interpret images, thoughts, and ideas, but they are so… Alien.

    From the aliens.

The aliens that long ago crashed here on earth. To keep themselves alive they merged themselves with their spacecraft in an unholy combination of life and technology. They have been trapped by time, buried under the ice, waiting. Slowly the machine intelligence has been corrupted, the living minds fractured and the remaining combined intelligence is insane, mavolent, and hungry for new thoughts and ideas. Your mind is but the first. Your arrival has awoken them from a deep slumber. The ice that has kept them from humanity is melting.

You, (are you a individual any longer?) hunger with them for thoughts that are not your own.
