Want to get disappointed in them even more? Google “concierge” status. Tldr is if you spend $1000 you get access to a second “store” that has more expensive packages, some going for $40000 or more. Some of the more expensive packages are only available if you spend $10000 or more already and get the “wing commander” level.
It’s literally a “I’m a whale” sticker that unlocks shit to buy for ridiculous amounts of money. Gaming journalists don’t know about it because you need to spend a ridiculous amount of money on it already, so nobody covers that bullshit.
It doesn’t mean extravagant, it means “a lot of food to eat”. I know how to cook. The intuition of how much I need to cook comes with more experience, but it means I’d need to go through months of me cooking too much and either throwing it away, or eating the same thing for a long time. When you cook for two or more, the dishes just disappear. You can skip a day, your partner will eat it though. So then you do, and suddenly four days worth of meals are gone.
Yeah, for sure. The problem is cooking for one. If you are inexperienced, you tend to overcook and then you either waste that or eat the same thing for five days. Also picky eaters sometimes can’t eat the same thing two days in a row, let alone more. Buuut if you treat cooking as “a job” that pays more than ordering out (where you don’t pay with your time), then it is really worth it for sure.
I’m eating shitty delivered food (including mcdonalds) and I am losing weight. The problem isn’t “bad food” it’s all about controlling calories intake. The only moment where that might not work is if you have some issues - hormonal imbalance or some sort of other illness. But if you eat less and can maintain / withstand that, you will lose weight.
Necromancy means you are just really good at healing
Carefully.
Or use those shitty two sided tapes that claim they can hold 100kg or something and it turns out it’s if you use the entire roll to hold up the best scenario and only when the roll is new, because it stops being sticky after like a month after production.
Better question. The people with glasses reflect the light under the robe. There are two dudes with glasses that were arrested and third one is the woman with the ring. Where did the second guy with glasses come from?
“When does it stop being self defense?” - not at them turning around. And I’d say you have a right to shoot them till the moment the police come to take over the situation / provide safety for you. Running after someone who is like 500m away to shoot them wouldn’t be self defense anymore obviously. And again - “self defense” isn’t a black and white situation. It’s grey enough where each case needs to be determined individually. But the “bias” belongs with the person whose house they broke into, not with the burglar. A burglar killing someone and saying “they had a gun!!” is 100% murder. A person overreacting / crossing a “line” in self defense deserves leniency if not straight up immunity.
What sort of argument is that. Dude broke into a house. At that point he is a threat and doesn’t magically turn into a harmless person just because they turn around. They might just be jumping into cover to get their own gun. They might be running to a second burglar for help. The first rule in any emergency situation is your safety is paramount. Yours alone. A firefighter won’t jump into a burning building to save a puppy, a medic won’t risk his life to constrain a madman with a knife. They are there to do a specific job - and heroics only looks good on TV or in movies.
Judging situations in hindsight is always so easy. Being in that situation is something else entirely. But it is better to be judged by twelve than carried by six. Again, your safety first - don’t administer aid on a running highway, don’t get closer to burning cars, don’t try to “save” someone getting beaten up. Don’t be a hero.
Bingo, that’s the point. It’s a statement on the value of art. At the end of the day, a painting is just a piece of linen with shit smeared all over it. You might as well just tape a banana to the wall and be done with it. But it also shows something else - art isn’t just paint smeared canvas. It has meaning behind it and it evokes emotion.
So this guy eating it and pissing off 90% of people does the best thing that he could have done. Also, the remaining 10% know that it is not about the banana on the wall which was replacable. It was about the emotions - the outrage, the trolling. It is the same artwork - since art isn’t just paint / just a banana.
Yeah, so in summation - blow it up.
Warships absolutely have a “self destruct button” it’s called scuttling. Done to deny the enemy the capture of the ships, or to lodge a wreck in an important location, so it blocks passage. Usually a “self destruct” is ships scuttling, but for space - you can’t really do anything to a spaceship to “disable” it and prevent it from ever being used, unless you blow it to bits. Also, explosions are cool.
Same thing for abandonned tanks - burning those is often done - especially if you just lost a track, and the tank is fully operational but cannot move. If you have no chance of retrieving the vehicle, it’s better to burn it than to deny the enemy the knowledge about its system, weakpoints, comms etc.
Instantly thought of it. Such a weird disturbing comic.
Yeah, heels to the ground, comrade found. Heels to the sky, CIA spy. This meme is like the first time I’m hearing of an “asian squat”.
Depends on what you are manufacturing. Making shit with mills, CNC, lathes, injection molding? That’s not a problem. CMM, EDM and very precise CNC? Yeah, that needs a machine with a high upfront cost. It all depends on if you are able to get customers and if you have the raw resources / the raw resources don’t price you out of existence. Overseas manufacture is worth it because it used to be cheap labor costs. You had to fix a lot of things, but it was still cheaper than making it 100% in house. Then China started becomming less competetive and it still was cheaper, but barely. Add onto it a 30% tarrif and the entire equation changes.
Again, it probably will be painful. But we will have to see.
Compared to importing for 30% extra? The only reason that would happen is some mass market collusion. The prices will go higher, then manufacturing picks up locally, driving prices down, lower than it was previously - since you don’t need to ferry them across an ocean. Foreign goods would be 30% more expensive.
At least that’s the theory / how it is supposed to work. In reality, probably a shitton of issues, a new great depression and not much more manufacturing potential as a result. There will be tarrifs on the US too, needlessly closing off trade both ways.
Why should I experience “common experiences / traits” when medication helps? You don’t need your leg to be chopped off before you can take a painkiller.
“Fun” fact, “chemtrails” were used in the Soviet Union in 86’ right after the Chernobyl disaster to stop a radioactive cloud going to Moscow. They dumped a shitload of dry ice to make it rain. It rained over small villages which caused people there to get radiation sickness.
