Amusingly, I’ve seen that, and I’ve also considered the similarly named Volla phone built by the Germans. You can have Ubuntu Touch as well as their own Android-based VollaOS.

Even playing games on Linux is much better now thanks to Steam. Never a better time to change. I want my next phone to have Ubuntu Touch as well. Fuck the horrible Google/Apple ecosystem.

It annoys the shit out of me that they never made the “kids” section of youtube an entirely separate thing.
Like TV, they could curate the hell out of it and not just allow anyone to upload, but no, they instead made way too much money from elsagate videos and videos of kids swimming. Now that that’s gone, it’s now making money off of kids from AI slop.

I’m Jason Momoa 👀

I’m sorry but I can never see things like this as uplifting.
What would be uplifting is seeing “previously underfunded school given enough financial resources by government so they don’t need to rely on charity for basic functionality”

Often, it’s not about the person you’re arguing against, it’s for the people watching who are on the fence.
If you can keep yourself calm, rational, and present convincing evidence, then you can save some people from falling into those conspiracy and religious holes from which they may never return.
Sometimes you get lucky and bring someone back from the brink.
It’s estimated about 2% of Americans believe Earth is flat, and a further 9% aren’t sure what shape it is.
2% of Americans is near 7,000,000 people. Near 40,000,000 don’t believe the Earth is a ball or are unsure.
Even if you can’t convince the 2%, that’s still roughly 33,000,000 people in America alone you could potentially help with critical thinking. We need all the help we can get.
Contradiction with religious folk is often boiled down to “if I don’t believe the contradiction exists then it must not exist!”

As a driving instructor myself: you’re the person I warn my learners about 👍

Silly Paco, he could have just played emulators on his uncles phone!

Sadly not. When the bubble bursts, it leads to recession. Poorer people have to give up their stuff, selling it at a cheaper price than they’d like.
And because everybody is in the same boat, the only ones buying are the rich, who will buy it cheap, and when the economy recovers, sell it at a higher price back to the same poor people.
This is exactly why these glaring issues are ignored - recession is good for the rich.

Oh yeah I’ve got smoke patch - couldn’t live without it 😁
Only thing I’m not huge on is that they lock the content so you can’t change team names and the strips they’ve put in.
I like to use pesmaster’s kit creator to make custom strips for teams. I’ve done classic or fantasy strips for most of my favourites.
I’m a bird person and I don’t approve 😭 please take him out of that oven.
This whole thing enrages me. I mean, you haven’t even plucked and seasoned him. 0/10 - would not eat.
We still do daily milk delivery. Sadly much less common now, but there are still milkmen around.
Also, our daily milk comes in glass bottles with aluminium(?) lids - much more environmentally friendly than a plastic carton!

Yeah, it’s the “Hide this game” option, unless it’s something I really don’t care to have in my library, then it’s the “remove this game from my library” option.
The first one I can think of for the latter was Konami’s eFootball. So shit I went straight back to playing old PES games instead.

I’m just parroting what Trump said after the first episode. I love South Park ❤️

I like how this is coming back into public knowledge after some washed up, irrelevant cartoon aired.

To people like this, the number in their bank account is like a scoreboard. They didn’t get that high up the leaderboard purely by accident.
Anyone who thinks that kind of person is just going to give up their place on the scoreboard is either incredibly naïve or gullible.
Don’t get me wrong, there are some people to there who may have some semblance of empathy, but as seen by the title, that’s about 1 in 25.
They also don’t do good things out of the goodness of their hearts, they do it to win social points so that they don’t get gunned down in the middle of a NYC street.

He’s not your buddy, guy!
If that was a Punisher t-shirt, I’d say I’d be much less surprised.
Historically, that has not gone so well for them.
