News@lemmy.world•Tougher stance on Trump is 'very good for business', says JP Morgan's Europe boss as CEOs welcome tariff U-turnEnglish
4·4 days agoJP Morgan can invest in any market. They just need time to shift their exposure.
EU needs to keep switching away from US investment. If we return to investing, it must be cautiously and linked to US policy stability.

I’m more glad that the new owners will lose all that good will, trust and activity. At the risk of sounding too much like Picard,… “make it so”

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•NHS defends cousin marriages because ‘only 15 percent lead to birth defects’English
171·9 days agoWe are talking of a huge difference between risks to a child by parents over 30 compared to a clear 15% risk with cousins having children. The actual risks are higher where there are recent (parent and grandparents) who were also more closely related.

Not The Onion@lemmy.world•NHS defends cousin marriages because ‘only 15 percent lead to birth defects’English
31·9 days agoI’m partially agreeing with you, but just because other countries say it’s OK, it doesn’t mean that we should.
Haven’t looked at the data, but still, 15% risk is high. From a social a health care perspective, this is horrible for those children too.

We should be seriously considering it. Our weakness is that Trump believes that we are like teenage girls on an island.

And in the wake of Trump stupidity suggesting that the US was not supported. Please can our leaders point this out very publically!
