Social/environmental - life is fucking terrible and I have to take anxiety meds to survive it without panicking and breaking down. My last meds made me hungry CONSTANTLY. Sadly, I didn’t know it was the meds until about 3 months ago. New med calms the anxiety and doesn’t make me starving all the time.

I am not built for modern society.

The problem is how the debts got there in the first place—in pursuit of growth for its own sake, of increased output with no clear needs that the new output would address.

But the protests made it clear that letting moderators make their communities private at their discretion “could be used to harm Reddit at scale” and that work on this feature was “accelerated” because of the protests.

Because Reddit admins deserved that harm. We’ve handed them all this free data and resource and they decided it was theirs.
