Anyone downvoting this wanna say why? Because I’m correct.
It’s not a culinary fruit, it’s a culinary vegetable. There’s a botanical classification system, and a different culinary classification system. When describing food it is incorrect to use the botanical classifier.
Other than that, good description
What character is that on the right?

Mushrooms - no one can tell unless you’re tripping hard.
Huh? There’s tons that are like that. Here’s a pic from Terminator
There’s also The Matrix and a zillion others
Great list! And according to your list I’m right. BBSes aren’t internet, and usenet is a synonym for newsgroups
It’s old but it’s not even close to the OG. I believe the OG is newsgroups, and after that was p2p file sharing apps like limewire and napster, and only then did torrenting become a big thing

The left two are bendable like a fedex envelope, the one on the right is hard plastic
Another pic would be helpful, I’m not quite understanding the spatial arrangement you’re describing

Technology@lemmy.world•It's the Christmas light video again - 2025 edition
1·29 days agoI just looked it up and I’m fairly certain it wouldn’t work. Every time the output waveform gets too low then the led would turn off, which is what creates the flicker. An led needs a constant current to stay on constantly.

7·29 days agoThat’s what’s so stupid about the whole problem - the solution is known and easy but it costs a tiny bit more to make so lots of manufacturers don’t do it. It just needs to run off DC instead of AC. Simple.

That doesn’t even really tell the true story. The fact is that the original version was an unremarkable piece that wasn’t important or monetarily valuable, and it was in bad shape and rapidly deteriorating. If she did nothing then the piece would’ve been destroyed soon anyway.
Additionally, her restoration process was still unfinished when it got famous, and while it probably never would’ve looked great, it also might’ve looked better if she was able to complete the process
