I worked at a place that would give at most a 10% raise. That number was virtually impossible to get. We had so many developers that just wanted competitive pay or something close. So many quit, resulting in 1of 2 scenarios:

1. We rehired the developer a few months later at 2x the salary. This cuased months of delays and expenses to their projects.

2. We hired a replacement dev with less experience at 2x the salary. This costs months of time to ramp up.

Both scenarios pissed off our clients and resulted in lost sales.

Same. For whatever reason Jellyfin just does not want to work outside of my network. I have fiddled with port numbers, settings, and everything else. I have no idea why it won’t work.

In addition to dual booting, you can create a persistent USB drive. It’s a little tedious, but kind of a cool way to give your setup a spin.

I think you need Rufus to format the drive, to set up the USB drive so it doesn’t refresh when you reboot. I’m sure there are speed implications, but I’ve actually found it snappy enough for basic stuff once it loads. It’s a cool way to try different distros. I have a handful lying around. I still preferred mint in the end.
