I mean, school should also probably reflect more of what we face out in the real world, but that’s an entirely different discussion!

      I wholeheartedly agree.

When I was on a school placement, there was a lot of, “This is boring! Why do I even have to learn this?”

I think a lot of school is about learning how to learn and having to face boring things, because not every job is going to be smelling the roses everyday.

I have to say, the curriculum includes content on respectful relationships and social-emotional learning, which I’m a big fan of. Although I’ve yet to see anyone teaching this stuff.

Sorry, I deleted because I’m a few wines deep and not sure I was presenting any kind of acceptance or debate of what you said. However, I would LOVE to see schools teach more on respectful relationships and social-emotional learnings. I think my point was more about knowing more about the history of the Medici Family than how to budget in Australia, but I think I was going a little off the rails. Thanks for the engagement on the comment nontheless, you are fuckin’ AWESOME

Oh oh oh I also need to say that I DO NOT blame teachers for what I came out of school knowing. They’ve been told some awful curriculum but people sooooo far out of the game
