    So, France has concluded that Tesla is currently, and has been for some time defrauding consumers, but are allowing Tesla four months to continue selling dangerous and not-as-advertised vehicles, before they take any action.

    Incredible.

    If you commit a crime and are found guilty, they don’t release you and wait four months before sending you off to jail.

    Ignorance or contempt is not an excuse, but apparently it is, given that you are wealthy enough, of course.

      At least they are taking steps, unlike some other governments.

      Most likely it’s common practice to give malpractioners a mandated term to change their ways. Though if someone more knowledgeable in French business law could contribute I’d defer to them.

      Maybe that’s how the law is written (I have no idea if that’s the reason, but it’s a possibility given how stupid some of our laws can be).
