Summary
Walmart fired Dani Davis, a 6’4" cisgender woman, after a man who mistook her for transgender verbally threatened her in a women’s restroom at a Florida store.
Davis, visibly shaken, reported the March 14 incident to her immediate supervisor but was fired for not informing salaried management, allegedly creating a “security risk.”
Davis called the firing discriminatory. After viral backlash, Walmart offered to reinstate her with back pay.
Davis, a longtime employee, is uncertain about returning, citing fears of a hostile work environment.
so you don’t have anything. let me help you: give me an example of transphobia in the real world that doesn’t have roots in misogyny. should be easy enough to point to any example considering how much we’re swimming in transphobia lately.

are you lost?
Nope.
so in response to me saying give me an example of transphobia that’s not rooted in misogyny, you decided to cite the example that we were already talking about, literally in the comment thread which started by me saying this is just misogyny… and you thought that was not in any way fucking insane, is that correct?
The whole comment train is me saying you’re wrong, so rather than being insane, I think it’s consistent.
you haven’t said anything. I asked you if you had anything other than “nuh-uh” and you keep demonstrating you don’t.
Why should I? Misogyny is misogyny. Transphobia is transphobia. It’s tautological. Suggesting that transphobia is secretly something else requires a high burden of proof.
I love that you used tautology as an argument like that’s at all supposed to be convincing. Is that your contribution to the any discussion about whether X is Y?
“hotdog is hotdog. sandwich is sandwich. ooga booga.” wow thanks dude very enlightening. people didn’t know that different words were different, and I guess humans can’t be animals because it’s two different words.
It’s not “secretly something else”. It’s obviously and blatantly misogyny.
Why do you think any time you hear something about transphobia it’s about a woman? Why does no one talk about how trans men should use the women’s restroom, or should compete in women’s sports? Why do cis women constantly get harassed and falsely accused of being trans, even in high profile cases like Imane Khelif, by major outlets and leading transphobes like jowling kowling rowling?
because transphobia is rooted in misogyny, and is an extension of it. think about it: why would anyone give a shit about what people say and do about their gender if they didn’t have strict opinions about gender roles and didn’t see women as the “weaker sex”?
they wouldn’t give a shit. being a man or woman literally wouldn’t make a difference if they believed in gender equality. therefore they don’t. and guess what, the inequal nature they believe in does not have women on top of the hierarchy.
