I don’t want to be too strict about the timing of the new daily, it’s just that when people started getting earlier and earlier, we ended up having multiple and it was hard to choose which one to delete and which to keep.
I’d like to hear some feedback about what rule we should implement, that way we can avoid making people stay up unnecessarily.

I really don’t care. Even a few hours off, whatever. I don’t think our little community needs rules about these things. Someone gets up at 5am and there’s no thread, just make one. No worries, easy peasy.
Probably the most important thing is that it is created by someone on an Auzzie Zone account, there is often a bit of lag between different instances that means posts don’t show up straight away, leading to more likelihood of duplicates.

This is the rational way
I prefer a thread to be late than to be hours early.
No one should have to stay up, just do the thread if it’s convenient at that time.
I’d also prefer late to early, but it doesn’t matter too much
