After being on the verge of extinction in California, the gray wolf is making an historic comeback to the state.The last gray wolf in California was killed in 1924.
Does anyone know how wild wolfs behave? They are social animals, so I wonder if they act differently than let’s say they mountain lions towards humans.
AFAIK they mostly try to stay away from humans. Humans are mostly their competitors and they can smell the presence of humans earlier than we can see them, so they can avoid us before we even know they are there.
There are quite a few videos on the Internet of wolves being very friendly to humans, but I don’t think those are wild ones.
Next thing you know people will start getting attacked trying to take a selfie with the fluffy dog.
