Diablo 4 is right at home on Nintendo Switch 2, and is absolutely perfect for handheld play in particular. For both the quality and quantity of content offered in the Age of Hatred Collection, it is more than worth the price of admission, and there is more than adequate reason to replay with a different class or build thanks to the ongoing season content. Even almost 30 years later, the Diablo series remains at the pinnacle of the genre, and offers an atmosphere and experience that few can match. But that makes the live service model adopted by Diablo 4 a particularly bitter pill to swallow, and with the abundance of high-quality action RPGs available on Nintendo Switch 2 at a significantly cheaper price point, or without that always-online requirement, it’s not as easy to immediately recommend as it should be.
