There’s a difference between “going out” in sleet, and survival in sleet. Granted, sleet is still not as bad as a 1 degree / 34 degree rain downpour, but I wouldn’t want to be sleeping outdoors in a month of record breaking sleet either.
Well yeah, having to stay outside in any temperature outside of comfortable for extended periods can be a problem. I wouldn’t want to be sleeping outside in record breaking heatwaves either.

I actually like to camp in the deep cold, snow and all that. It needs to be way below freezing. But I also have the gear for it.
